Meet Mrs. Hoekman

Please allow me to share a little information about myself.  I grew up just outside of Baltic on a dairy farm, but attended Tri-Valley School K-12.  However, growing up in around Baltic, I feel I have come to know the community well.  I attended South Dakota State University where I received my degree in Early Childhood Education and also attended Dakota State University for my Elementary Education Certification.  I did my student teaching in the Dell Rapids School District in the 4^th grade and for two years I was an Educational Assistant in the Baltic School District.  This is my eighth year teaching in the district as a first grade teacher and I look forward to this year with your students!  I have enjoyed growing as an educator in the district and excited to continue my career here! 

My husband, Kevin and I live in Dell Rapids with our children Anna (9), Peter (6), Esther (4), and Elijah (1). 

We also have two cats named Ali and Cookie.
